Challenge & Context
🧩 The main challenge was translating a highly complex, policy-heavy, and technically detailed energy domain into a digital experience that felt clear and intuitive for multiple audiences. HEREMA’s public site spans a wide range of subject areas — from hydrocarbon exploration and licensing to offshore wind, carbon capture and storage, underground gas storage, offshore safety, tenders, and a data centre containing technical information on Greece’s subsurface and seas. 📚 That meant the platform had to handle both institutional communication and dense informational architecture at the same time. It needed to feel official and trustworthy, while also being modern, navigable, and scalable enough to support frequent updates, public notices, structured documentation, and sector-specific content. HEREMA also publicly positions itself around Greece’s path to net zero, energy security, and the monetisation of national energy assets, so the site had to reflect that strategic importance visually and editorially.
